Ray Hunter

PC MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor - Green Bay South District

First elected to the House of Assembly on February 9, 1999 to represent the District of Windsor - Springdale, Ray Hunter was appointed PC Opposition Critic for Forestry and Agrifoods, and Vice-Chair of the Caucus Strategy Committee. He was re-elected in 2003 and again in 2007 for his third term for the district of Grand Falls-Windsor – Green Bay South as a Member of the Government Caucus.

Ray graduated from F.G. Bursey Memorial Collegiate in 1972. He went on to graduate in Basic Electrical from the Trades College at Grand Falls-Windsor in 1973. He received his journeyman's papers from the Trades College in St. John's in 1976.

He has been owner-operator of his own business - Hunter's Electrical Ltd. - since 1975. Ray and his wife Martha have a son Jason (daughter-in-law Renee), a daughter Laura, and one granddaughter Mallory. He has lived in the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor for 45 years. Ray has a long record of involvement in the community and provincial interests.
